We are equipped to handle small to most large groups. As an added convenience to your fun and enjoyment, we transport you upstream and all trips finish at Riverside Rentals' carpeted ramp where your vehicle is parked. No waiting to be picked up:
CANOE AND KAYAK RENTALS:
OPEN 9AM EDST; Seven 1/2 Mile This is our more popular trip for experienced to inexperienced river runners. This trip is great for all paddlers, no matter how big or small. Beginners should take this short trip of two/three hours without small children. We shuttle you by bus or van to Haschel's boat ramp and your trip ends at the livery.
Twelve Mile: CALL AHEAD TO SCHEDULE
This very popular 5 to 6 hour trip begins at the Tippecanoe River State Park boat launch. It is recommended for paddlers with experience. Once again, we shuttle you from the livery to the input. The first three miles flow through the state park to their nature center, then on to end at our livery.
Two Day Overnight:CALL AHEAD TO SCHEDULE
This is an excellent choice for those who wish to make a weekend of it. Our two-day trip begins at Monterey with a 5 to 6 hour float to Tippecanoe River State Park (Call Tippecanoe River State Park at 574-946-3213 for information on the primitive canoe or regular camping). The next day, it's 5 to 6 hours back to the carpeted ramp at the livery. These two trip lengths will be subject to change depending upon water conditions.
TUBE RENTALS
Call Ahead to see if we are running the tubes
Our tube trips run according to temperature and water level. Avg. time 3 to 4 hours (varies according to river flow). SNEAKERS OR WATER SHOES ARE REQUIRED FOR RENTAL TUBES. Tubes are slower than canoes. This trip is shorter than the 7 1/2 mile trip to accomodate for time.
CORRESPONDING TIMES TO COMPLETE THE RESPECTIVE TRIPS WILL VARY ACCORDING TO SEVERAL FACTORS INCLUDING EXPERIENCE AND DILIGENCE OF PADDLERS, WATER TABLES AND WEATHER.
High Water
After extended periods of heavy rain we sometimes experience very high water or flood conditions in which we close the livery. It's a good idea to call us a day ahead to check water conditions during high rain times.
